Thrifted Treasure...show and tell

One of my favourite pastimes is thrifting for treasure. Of course, we are much hobbled here in Dublin as we don't have ANY yard sales (how are ye' supposed to live without ANY yard sales?)...we have very few - and mad expensive car boots. So we are confined to a small selection of charity shops and have to be prepared to pay much higher prices than all you lucky people out there.

 The upside of this is that when we DO find some lovely thing we are well pleased. These are some of my favourite finds..

One of two matching covered serving dishes.

This little fellow was not a thrifted find but belonged to my great aunt in law. I love the cheeky look on his face. He is very heavy and made from a chalky substance.
