Goodies for me!

I woke up this morning whining "I don't want to go to school!"

"You have to go to school" says himself

"Why do I have to go?" whinges me.

"Because you are the teacher!" says he

Well, I'm glad I went 'cos it's coming to the end of term (adult ed. finishes end of May) and the students presented me these lovely gifts: Roses in a fabulous shade of orange, Max Factor make up set, a garden centre voucher, and beautiful cards that I will treasure. A big big thank you to you all. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you. Imagine! ...getting paid to have such fun!IMG_2681IMG_2683

I taught for many years, I remember all the sweet tokens from students. I still have a large box of notes, letters and cards given to me by young people.

Pam, You must be the best teacher ever! All those sweet gifts
are wonderful and you deserve them. :)

Welcome! I am a red hatted, fading rock chick! I love all things vintage, thrifting, crafting, repurposing old items and renovating my old stonebuilt cottage in rural Ireland-White O'Morn, named after the pretty little cottage in the classic film "The Quiet Man" I have two vintage websites: Such Pretty Old Things and Silver Screen Vintage thanks to my genius sis, Teeda. Another sis, Angie has a "sister blog" to this one...The Old Schoolhouse. We love meeting bloggers who share our interests so don't be shy!
